Over Peter Blokland
Peter Blokland studeerde militaire en luchtvaartwetenschappen aan de Koninklijke Militaire School in Brussel. Na een carrière als jachtpiloot, instructeur, smaldeelbevelhebber en stafofficier richtte hij zich op zijn grootste drijfveer: wat maakt mensen en organisaties excellent?
Gedreven door deze vraag ontwikkelde hij de Total Respect Management (TR³M)-methode, die hij onderbouwde in zijn promotieonderzoek aan de TU Delft. In 2023 voltooide hij zijn doctoraat met de thesis "Towards Sustainable Safety & Performance in Organisations". Als expert voor het Belgische Normalisatiebureau (NBN) draagt hij bij aan de ontwikkeling van ISO-normen voor risicomanagement.
Als vader van drie kinderen en grootvader van vijf kleinkinderen is hij zich diep bewust van het belang van duurzaamheid—en van de cruciale rol die risicomanagement speelt in het creëren van een toekomstbestendige wereld.
